Jakarta (ANTARA) - Lagu "Fortnight" yang dibawakan oleh duet penyanyi dan pencipta lagu Amerika Serikat, Taylor Swift dan Post Malone meluncur sebagai singel utama dari album ke-11 Swift yang bertajuk "The Tortured Poets Department" pada 19 April 2024.

Lagu ciptaan Swift dan Malone bersama produser musik Jack Antonoff itu telah memborong tujuh kemenangan di ajang penghargaan MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2024.

Lagu "Fortnight" memecahkan rekor Spotify untuk lagu yang paling banyak diputar dalam satu hari (lebih dari 300 juta kali). Adapun hingga artikel ini ditulis pada Selasa (24/9), lagu Swift dan Malone terlihat sudah mencapai lebih dari 653 juta kali pemutaran.

Swift mengatakan lagu "Fortnight" mengeksplorasi perasaan rindu, merindukan serta kehilangan impian dengan gaya bahasa yang melebih-lebihkan (hiperbola), seperti dalam penggalan lirik "I love you, it's ruining my life."
